Kung Fu Jow Ga Fu Mei Darn Dao-Tiger Tail Broadsword by Sifu Sam Hing Fai Chan
The most original Jow Ga sword form passed down from late Grand Master Lee Ngou. The word "Dao" refers to a sword with a single sharp edge for cutting. The spine is made thicker for blocking and the hand guard is oval shaped for hand protection. The length of the Dao runs between 26"-34". This type of sword is made very thin to keep it light in weight but well balanced and is designed for fast cutting. A name for this type of sword is called "Willow Leaf Sword".
The Jow's family brothers created a sword form called "Fu Mei Darn Dao" - Tiger Tail Single Broad Sword. This particular form involves maneuvers that are extremely fast and seamless. The Willow Leaf Sword whips in all directions powerfully like a tiger tail. Even though the practice sword is not sharp, your sword should be treated as real and with respect.
