The Moment I Realized Footwork Changes Everything
Let me tell you how I discovered the power of footwork and how it completely changed my career.
Early in my amateur days, I kept getting outboxed by taller fighters.
They weren’t stronger. They weren’t faster. They just moved better.
I’d come forward flat-footed, looking for the big shot… but I was always out of position.
Every time I thought I was about to land, they were gone.
Then one day, I fought Andy Lee who later became a world champion and he made me look silly.
That fight humbled me. It made me realize that if I didn’t fix my feet, I’d never reach my potential. So I became obsessed.
I studied every great fighter, Olympic champions, world champions, and I noticed the same thing:
They all had very good footwork.
Once I started training my feet the right way, everything changed.
Within months, I went from being “the big puncher” to being the boxer everyone struggled to hit.
That same system took me to a European gold medal… and to the Olympic podium.
Now, I teach these exact methods to everyone I train from beginners to world champions — and every one of them is blown away by how fast they improve.
And now, I’m sharing those same techniques with you inside The Boxing Footwork Academy.
