James Moontasri is highly regarded as being both a truly exceptional striker and as a world class coach.  He competed multiple times in high level MMA, firstly in the RFA, and then later with the UFC before retiring to concentrate on his blossoming work as a much sought after Hollywood stunt co-ordinator.

James was also a silver medalist at the 2007 Pan American Games in taekwondo, 2007 USA Tae Kwon Do Male Athlete of the Year, and 2 x USA Tae Kwon Do National Champion. He holds the rank of Brown Belt in Jiu Jitsu from Franklin Aguirre and Brandon Bender (James received his Blue Belt and Purple Belt from John Machado).
